The Historic village of St. Osyth is situated about four miles to the west of Clacton-on-Sea just off the B1027.
In the centre of the village is the listed ancient Priory, Deer Park, Gate House, Tower and Chapel. Together with the parish Church and Methodist Chapel.
There is a seven acre recreation ground for cricket and football with pavilion also with hardcourt, swings slide and new skate board ramps.
St. Osyth creek has an active boatyard and on the opposite side of the causeway is a water sports lake.
St. Osyth Beach and Point Clear Bay have seasonal use caravan parks and also holiday chalets.
Within the village there are many active associations and clubs with a wide range of activities for young and old. Historical Society, Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, Badminton, Indoor Bowls, Active for life, Horticultural society to name but a few.
There is also the Parish council, Church of England Primary School, Doctors, Post Offices, Business Association and a good range of shopping facilities catering for daily needs.
